Frequently Asked Questions
How to Prepare for a Tan?
Hydrate your skin in the week leading up to your appointment with daily moisturising. Avoid any self-tanning products.
Hair removal should be done at least 24 hours before your tan.
Exfoliate thoroughly the night before and the morning of your tan using a loofah or exfoliating glove. Avoid exfoliating washes as they can leave an oily residue.
Avoid deodorant for at least 24 hours before your appointment — some formulas can leave residue that turns armpits green.
Shower before your tan, but avoid Dove products as they can interfere with the tanning solution.
Arrive with clean skin — no makeup, deodorant, perfume, or moisturiser.
Wear dark, loose, cotton clothing and thongs/flip-flops to your appointment.
If it's raining or might rain, bring an umbrella and loose closed shoes (like Uggs or slippers).
Bring a towel to protect your car seat post-tan.
How to look after your tan?
DO NOT GET WET after your tan until your first rinse — no showers, washing hands, or contact with pets.
If nursing, wear breast pads to prevent transfer.
Avoid tight clothing, including underwear, while your tan is developing.
Rinse off with lukewarm water using a SLS-free body wash, 2–4 hours after application (your technician will advise exact timing).
Avoid spas, hot baths, and exfoliants that can cause premature fading.
Moisturise daily after your first rinse for even fading and maximum longevity.
Avoid exfoliating for at least 7 days after your tan.
Will the tan be orange?
No! We only use premium tanning solutions tailored to your skin tone to avoid any orange tones.
Will my tan go patchy?
No! When you moisturise regularly (twice daily), your tan will fade evenly just like a natural suntan.
How long does a spray tan take?
The full appointment takes around 15 minutes, including undressing, tanning, drying, and powder application.
How often can I tan?
You can tan every 7 days — just make sure to exfoliate off the old tan the night before your new one.
